Statement:	My dad’s name is John and I like saying “Goerthe” so I think I have a Renaissance gurl complex. Contrary to this age of specialization, I try to do a little bit of everything and do nothing really exceptionally. Hence, my basement is full of art and I have dozens of unfinished stories lingering on various computers. I am drawn towards photographing things that are hopeless as a faithful reminder of how gorgeous life is. I also take a lot of pictures of myself, probably because I am apt to run away from home at any moment and it’s a good way not to abandon myself. It’s pretty clear that I am a searcher in this lifetime, so I will continue to keep trying to put the words and images together in a way that scratches the itch.
